Class A Surface

For Outside Rear View Mirrors, we need to validate that a certain amount of the mirror is used for a certain amount of field of vision. Meaning, the mirrors them selves have to be a certain size in order to be able to perform there said function, see things rearward. There are SAE standards that help us determine what that rearward visible space is. That includes how convex a mirror is allowed to be. A mirrors convexity is the reason some passenger side rear view mirrors allows for a greater field of vision. Thus the "Objects in Mirror Appear Closer" tag on that particular mirror. For further assistance, please contact us or SAE.
